  1. Hi,

    I own a Panasonic DMR-E80H, which, as you all know, burns onto dvd-ram.
    My question is:
    which software can I use to edit the video (dvd-ram) recorded on the DMR-E80H on my pc and that will also allow me to record (dvd-ram) on my pc and be edited on my DMR-E80H.
    I tried Burn4Free, but I hate to say it... this software is garbage.

    Thanks to you all

  2. You can use Ulead's MediaStudio Pro 7.01:

    Ulead MediaStudio Pro...

    a. supports stereo AC-3 audio editing;

    b. features a unique DVD-VR CAPTURE PLUG-IN that will allow you to extract MPEG video from your recorded DVD-RAM discs;

    c. allows you to edit your MPEGs with minimal quality loss;

    d. allows you to re-burn your MPEGs to DVD-R or DVD+R discs for distribution thanks to an included DVD authoring module.

    I have written a step-by-step tutorial about how to accomplish this.

    In my tutorial, I used a Toshiba D-R1, which is very similar to the Panasonic unit you mentioned.

    My tutorial begins on the Web page at the following link:

    I also have a Panasonic VDR-M30 DVD disc camcorder, which records onto mini DVD-R and mini DVD-RAM discs.

    I wrote a step-by-step tutorial about how to extract video from discs recorded in this camcorder as well.

    By the way, Ulead's $99 "VideoStudio" application will ALSO edit MPEGs, but only MPEGs with LPCM or MPEG AUDIO (no AC-3 support).

    Hope this helps,
