    My computer has been setup with TEMPGENC plus and DIVX codec 5.1. TEMPGEnc in the past have flawlessly converted any DIVX/XVID avi files fine. But then I've got the new MASTERandCommanderofTheFarSide.avi and TEMPGENc was unable to convert/preview the movie to mpg, but the sound was detected fine. I checked the avi file using GSpot and it showed that the avi file format is DIVX 5.0 . What's exactly is wrong with the avi file and how can it be fix so that I could converted to a mpg file/DVD file. That's all I need. Can this avi file be demux .??? Thanks

    I wasn't aware that was out on dvd yet . Try opening it in VirtualDub and if you can see it there try doing a bad frame check and fix bad frames, demux, or, if those don't work, try to frameserve to tmpg from virtualdub or avisynth.
