Hi folks... I've been wrestling with this issue for a while now and I'm about to lose whats left of my mind. Hope someone can help... TMPGEnc won't seem to batch projects that take a long time.

I load up my first AVI and WAV for conversion, set up the template for SVCD, and save it all as a project (tpr) file. I do the same with the second AVI and WAV and save another tpr file.

I then clear the projects, invoke the batch encoder, and add my newly created projects to the list. I save the list and then press the 'Run' button and go away. When I get back to the system, TMPGEnc is no longer running and only the first project has been completed.

    Some points:
I do not check the 'shut down after finish encoding' checkbox. I've tested this with tiny files and it seems to work. Long encodes seem to be the problem and it's not just 12h that has done this to me.

Any ideas? I'd really like to set up a couple of days worth of pojects to encode and then just leave it alone.

I'll give settings details if anyone thinks they're relevant.

    Hi,

I'm still having this problem and would really appreciate some help.

I've now tried this with converting a group of 7 10min avi files with Sefy's SeVCD template. I load up each file with the template, do the settings, and save the project. Once all 7 projects files are created I create a batch job file, add all the project files, save the batch job file, and hit RUN.

Each encode takes about 30mins. And at the end of encoding the first file on the batch list - TMPGEnc just goes away right before my eyes.

Looking at the log files for the encode I notice that they don't have the little summary at the end. In fact the last two files stopped 35 and 29 frames before the end. They still play fine as this many frames is only about a second.

Is anyone using TMPGEnc's batch encoding sucessfully? Any suggestions would contribute to my sanity and just generally be appreciated.

    Thank you.

Hello. I have used Tmpegenc's batch encode thingy muliple times and it has worked flawlessly. I usually do the "add current project to batch list" rather than making a project and then saving it.

Yup! That seems to be working so far... Using the "add current project to batch list" and then MPEG file right?

I guess it doesn't like it when you create the batch list manually? Oh well... I'll see if this works with the bigger stuff.

    Thanx so much!
