Do Phillips recorders offer a special option of recording in "compatibility mode"?
I ask this because I read an article about VICT ,( video improvement compatibility technology) being invented in July 2003 for DVD +R recording . I am not sure if this was a sales promo or something Phillips had introduced.

There is an option "Make Compatible" that you need to invoke after editing on +RW. Not sure if that is what you are asking.
Pinnacle Studio 8 and DV home video editing (ver.9 already home)
