  1. 1. Could someone describe the chapter menus (the chapter selection screen generated by the dvd recorder) on the Pioneer DVR-7000?
Screenshots of one of those menus would be very much appriciated!

    2. Are the chapter menus of Philips DVD-R75 any different visually compared to the chapter menus of Philips DVD-R70? I didn't like the fact that DVD-R70 didn't give me a choice to not display the date/time/day of each recording...

I'm wondering if I should buy the Philips DVD-R75, or if Pioneer DVR-7000 is a better choice? I'll be using it for transferring VHS onto DVD.

    any suggestions and thoughts appriciated!

  2. I feel like you are using word "chapter" incorectly. You can have for example only one title (recording, program or movie.... who knows how to call it) in the menu but when you play it, it can have multiple chapters in it. You navigate to next chapter by using NEXT button.

I have a Philips DVDR985 and have been experimenting with Ulead Movie Factory 2 's "Edit Disc" option. Totally removes the Philips menu ON THE DISC (+RW only of course) right on the PC....replaces it with a better looking menu.
All without re-encoding anything....AC3 audio is permitted also. I only have found one disc from my Philips that it cannot re-create for me....still not sure why. Anyway...just a tip for ya' in case you buy a Philips DVD Recorder.
