I have a weird problem. In the past, I have created some CD labels and pasted it onto the CD-R. It played fine in my DVD player. But recently after creating and sticking a label onto another CD-R, it played fine for several months. And then, when I viewed it yesterday, it kept on pausing! I wiped the data-side of the CD with a CD cleaning cloth and insert it. It played fine again! But near the end, it started pausing again. What's the problem? My other labelled CDs plays fine!

My CD labels are the paper kind that sticks. I noticed that professional CDs and DVDs are smooth. How do they do that?

So is there a lot of harm to CDs when you make CD labels? Then why are there CD-label makers?

  6. I did label too for most my home video collections then I got tired, just use sharpie to write on the disc, faster.
No problem either way. I know some DVD players may be sensitive to CD/DVD label on the disc.

But that's just it. I have labelled a lot of my previous CD-Rs and they all worked for a long time. But on this new CD-R that I labelled, it started pausing. Maybe it has something to do with the disc itself because my other CD-Rs play fine with the label.

  8. Can someone please help me out? I am currently using Memorex LabelMaker for my DVD labels, and the program is awful. I can not get the alignment correct. Does anyone out there have a microsoft word template for the memorex style cd sticker sheet? Please let me know if you do. Thank you very much!
