I still havent mastered this yet, still getting jerky picture.
I tried Tmgpenc, CCE+, cant seem to figure out wots going on. I've checked several guides & methods.
25fps movies seem fine (probably coz i'm in PAL land)
But 23.976/29.790 movies i cant seem to convert to mpeg2 (DVD) without getting the jerky playback. Even if i dont do a framerate conversion, and keep same fps, still comes out jerky.
My most recent test was done using CCE, i converted a 23.976fps movie (kept same fps), end product was great, didnt notice any jerkyness, but when i tried authoring the movie with Tmpgenc author, for some reason it authored the movie at 29.970? I did use pulldown before authoring aswell.
But, when eva i read about this they blame divx/xvid compression, but i'm not too sure about this, as i have read that people have made successful conversions by changing framerate.
If my movie is 23.976, and i wanna make a 25fps movie, i usually use virtualdub to change frame rate of video only to 25fps. Then i convert using Tmpgenc. I havent yet tested this with CCE, thats my next test.
If anyones got any suggestions or stumbled across same problem (which i am sure many have), your comments would be appreciated.
Thx in advance.
