Newbie here.
I know I have read about this problem with this unit on this forum before. Playback of CD's and VCD's has been flaky for a couple of months. Now, it just refuses to play either - while DVD playback is fine. Cleaning has done nothing - so I guess my question is - from a cost perspective - do I scrap it? And if so, is this a Pioneer problem that I need to be concerned about with current/future units? I have (and have had) several Pioneer components over the years and have loved them all - but from what I read this seems to be a common issue with this player.
