  1. I have a Pinnacle PC-TV USB, and was wondering if anyone has used this to capture video/audio at a decent quality using Windows 2000???

Ultimately, I want to capture movies I have on VHS tape, and make MPEG files to burn to VCD format CD's.

If anyone has done this, or if you have any thoughts on this, please share any information/experiences! Thanks!

  2. I have a Pinnacle PC-TV USB too! It seems it's a piece of $hit under win2k.

You can't capture above 320x240 in any OS. Under win2k, you can't record audio, and a pinnacle support sucks!
Something you can do is to try iuVCR from http://www.iulab.com, somtimes I can record audio, sometimes not. I have some problems with loadin so called "crossbar" when starting iuVCR.

If you'll try, please give me a feedback I'm getting crazy!

Sorry about my english, I'm f|_|cking Serb!

USB devices are limited by the bandwidth of USB port - 12Mbits I think. The only way you may improve results is to make sure it's the only USB device connected, since most Motherboards only use one USB controller and split the 12Mbit bandwidth as required.
