You can try to look for guides that are talking about DVD-Video to DVD-R. You need to extract mpeg from it or even separate stream for video and audio. Then you can edit mpeg with some Editing tool and re-author it with DVD Authoring tool.
Best that I know for simple cutting of mpeg2 is Womble MPEG-VCR.Pinnacle Studio 8 and DV home video editing (ver.9 already home) -

Hi.
I'm about to take the plunge and get a JVC DMR1 myself at the end of Jan. ANy comments? Is it good, so far? Have you any complaints, or does it do everything you expected/wanted it to do?
Any info appreciated.
Thx

so far so good looks and plays brilliant still trying to get to all the different options that it has but overall it does everything that i want it to.
Good luck with yours -
It is probably not recognized by windows because the disk is not finalized. If you are using DVD-RW media, you cannot take it elsewhere to work on until it is finalized. Unless DVD recorders don't require that and leave it in a readable state but I doubt it.

Yes you have to finalise it i recorded in video ode and finalised and now i can see and edit them
Thanks to all that passed on comments
