  1. Quick question about the disc printing. I have the 960 and been printing on some discs using photo paper setting and vivid color. Seems to work
fairly well except towards the top of the disc (about half an inch wide) there is a slightly faded look. Can be seen especially when you are a printing black and the very top seems to be a band of black that's slightly lighter than the rest of the disc.
    Anyone else experience this?
Can anything be done about this?

    Thanks for any help,

    Mike

  2. I haven't seen this...what s/w are you using?

You mention a photo paper setting...I think I sent mine to CD/DVD setting in each case ... maybe that has affected it? I think you need to tell your s/w you are printing on a DVD (& still set the colors to best photo)

  3. Its not where you are touching the front of the disk with you fingers/hand is it.

If its the Epson print cd software then altering from cd/dvd to photo paper or any of the other settings in "Epson Print CD" is OK as the software tells your printer to expect a disk....

  4. No it's not where I'm touching it. I remember reading here on the boards awhile back about something similar with the epson 900.
I use the photo paper setting and vivid color because it probuces more accurate color than cd/dvd setting. I also heard this on the forum awhile ago as well.

    Anybody else?

  5. Could be faulty surface on disk but that would seem unlikly if its always at the top.
It sounds a bit like its not putting as much ink down, clogged heads at the start ?
    Just guessing here.

  6. Well I clean the print heads and seemed to print somewhat better but
there is still some faint areas at the top of the disc. These are Ritek 4x printables, so I tried it on a Maxell printable I had and it looked alot better.
Could it be the Ritek's have a surface flaw on the batch that I got?
Anyone else have this problem with 960 or 900?
