Hi all (again),
Right ive still got a problem with audio sync when encoding avi files.
I just encoded an mpg file with "tmpgen" and then used "tmpgen dvd author" to author and burn an the result was great no audio sync problems what so ever.
But i did an avi file exactly the same way but got the sync problem.....plays very well but the audio goes out of sync after about 40 mins.
Now theres a few things i think might be the problem but need advice.
1) ive heard that tmpgen cant handle vbr audio....how can i find out if my avi files are vbr ?
2) the avi's may not be pal "as i live in england" if there not does this make any difference ?.....if so how do i find out what format they are?
3) ive heard that the problem maybe corrupt frames,so i did a check and only one file has corrupt frames but could not find the badframes log ?
4)is the problem got anything to do with codecs ?....i have xvid and nimo codec pack.
I really need to sort this problem out as ive read so many suggestions but none as gotten rid of this problem.
Thanks for any advice.![]()
