  1. This may not be the right place for this question, but as i cant get into the doom9 Forums, i thought i would try here.

    I have DVD2SVCD 1.2.1 Build 3 and am using TMPGenc Plus 2.5.

    Everything goes fine, untill TMPGenc is started to process the default/change/end BMPs AVS files.

    TMPGenc then halts with the message
    File "D:\Conversion Files\defaulttitlepicture.bmp.avs" could not open or unsupported

    I have changed the prioity of the Directshow reader in TMPGenc and it still fails.

    Intrestingly enough, if i click past the 3 errors the movie, will process ok in TmpGenc.

    I am running out of things to try...

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    If the start and end pics which i never use arent important to you then got to cd image and uncheck the pictures.If they are make sure they are in the right location as indicated by the path and that they are the proper type of bitmaps to be used.

  3. Hi Johns0,
    Thanks for the reply. the only reson this came up, was i like to put the front cover pictue on the beginning of the movie (just me i guess).

    Anyways i have been doing a little more digging. and this is what appears to be happening.

    InTMPGenc in the VFAPI plugin section, i enable the Avisynth/VirtualDub script reader v0.1 and set it to its recommeded priority of 0.
    I check the TMPGenc ini file and the setting are as follows
    ReadAVS.Priority=0
    ReadAVS.Enable=1

    I can at this point i can open and close TMPGenc as many times as i like and load and convert the Title/Change/End pictures using the DVDSVCD generated AVS script.

    Now when i run DVDSVCD turning the Title/Change/End pictures option on, Reading the AVS file Fails.

    The looking at the TMPGenc ini file i find that the ReadAVS parameters have been changed to

    ReadAVS=Priority=0
    ReadAVS.Enabled=0

    This looks like the reason it fails.

    Now i have hunted around DVDSVCD, and cant find any option closly associated with this.

    Well thats the problem, anybody know how to fix this.

    Thanks.

  4. open the VFAPI again and look for a function that deals with image files. I think it lists bmp, jpg etc. you can try uping the priority on that and it may help.

    You need a 720x480 BMP file. I don't think JPG's are supported. It needs to be true color also. You can redact out those parts of the script if you want. You can also just edit the generic BMP's that are there by default.
