who knows
I have a Athlon 1300 with 1.5 gigs of ram and a 7200 rpm hd partitioned and I find that sometimes if I batch encode the second or third file is usually slightly less quality than the first, although you wouldn't really notice.
However once I forgot to start from a defragged drive and with a ram flush and found that the last file was a lot worse.
So I guess if you do the normal precautions bacth encoding is Ok, but if your pc aint really all that fast it may not be advisable.
however, batch encode means you can leave a job running all night and get up to encoded files, it also means that you can get Tmpeg to auto shut down when complete - important for us ASUS capture card users that find hibernation and sleep wake-up problems.
by the way - an answer for you , I guess now your confidence in the site is restored - this site is the dogs danglies for this kind of stuff !
