    Can someone help me out here as i am a total newbie and strugginling. I have a 300 meg file which is iin avi/divx format. It reads something like (nsm)blah.divx.avi
    Ok I try to open it using windows player but it says it cannot find the correct filters. So then I tried the program called "The Playa". This plays the movie but says its only 45 seconds big. This seems short for a 300 meg file.
    Occasionally windows player plays theese files but with no sound.
    Can annyone help me or are you as confused as what I am.

    Please help

    Hi mate,

    you need to install the divx codec and probably media player 7.1 or higher to view the divx.avi
    Check out the tools section on the left
