Ok..
so i have an mpeg2 format movie file.. which says is 480 X 480...
when i play this file, it fits the whole screen
i used mpeg2avi converter, and it said the output will remain the same (480 x 480)..
but something is diferent! when i watch this converted avi file, it now has black borders on both sides... so its much narrower and taller...
does anyone know why this is happening? and how i can fix it? is it somthing to do with the aspect ratio, and how can i change this?
any help would be greatly appreciated
thanks
epp

FOLLOW UP:
ok.. if i right click on the mpeg2 file icon.. and goto properties.. it tells me the file is - horizontal - 540
vertical - 480
so obviously mpeg2avi is loading it in at the wrong size... is there any way to fix this? i just dont understand why the program would cut it down before its even been processed
thanks
