Sorry about the rather vague heading....

About 10 days ago I posted looking for help as I was getting nowhere and help you guys did - especially in pointing me towards Ullead Movie Factory.

All I do now to convert .avi's and make them into DVD's is strip out the audio using Goldwave, convert to 48000 if it isn't already - save the .wav and then put the .avi through TMPGEnc as video source and the .wav as audio. Voila !! .....4/5 hours later stuff the resultant mpeg into Movie factory and a while later a usable DVD pops out of the tray...

It hasn't failed yet over 8 or 9 movies......what salient points am I missing....when am I gonna hit that brick wall ?

    Hmmmmmm.....

  2. It depends on your source. If your source avi's are downloaded, then this process will fail as soon as you find a divx with Ac3 audio. Its not hard to fix though!

Problems may also arise if any of the sources have bad frames.
