  1. Hi All,

Don't know if i'm in the right forum, but here goes...

I have a friend who's a musician and he wants to have a video playing on a screen behind him during his gig. The video will probably be a looped time lapse thing (clouds etc) that will loop continuously untill the music changes.

When the music changes, someone (probably me) wants to be able to push a button on the laptop and change the footage in line with the music (The laptop will be hooked up to a projector which will be displaying the video). The change may be a new bit of footage or just a change in coloured tint over the existing footage. It may be an instantaneuos change or a gradual transition (depending on the mood of the music being played).

All the edits would be predefined. But as every song will be slightly different between each show we want to be able to trigger the changes so it's insync with the music each time.

Is it possible to have real time footage and real time (predefined) edits to the footage which can be triggered by someone pressing a button on a laptop? I couldn't think of a way of acheiving this. Any help's appreciated

check out www.vjforums.com or www.audiovisualizers.com - both will have info and links to software for real-time video playback and mixing software.

VJAMM is one software that will do it, but there are tons of others.
