    I have 1.0c that came with my drive. In the begining it worked great i used DSS and Ripped at high speed not a one problem with any software, but Since then i've not been able to burn my TDK 2x -R's with Nero. Also Dss seemd to no longer work, as in it does reach abpve 2x.

    Would Upgrading the Firmware to 1.0d slove these if any problems

    I upgrade and DSS does work. If its better I dont know, I have two coasters from some errors with Gold 2X optodiscs.

    yes upgrade to 1d it is much better with media and the new version of dss works fine with it
