I've tried ripping two different VIDEO_TS folders, but the result is same - the sound will get very badly out of sync within five minutes. I mean off by like 45 seconds. The weird thing is that version 0.9 didn't have that problem at all. Is there something I'm doing wrong? I'm using the Mpeg4/Avi (mencoder) codec for my encodes...

Is there an option to check (Or uncheck) or a place where I can download 0.9?

  2. Check framerate value being the same as the source, and try "fast DivX" as well. 0.0.9 was the same as 0.0.9a in DivX encoding so the issue is possibly with your file.

same here... the framerate is (AFAIK) set correctly... and i dont wanna encode with fast divX... i use the "MPEG4 [.avi] (mencoder)" with about every quality gaining option... the movie is deinterlaced... bitrate between 1500 kbit/s and 1700 kbit/s, size 720x576...

well, all 13 movies get out of sync after about 30 seconds. and it gets worse with time... if i go fast forward, it eventually gets in sync fore several seconds...

    do you have any idea?
... now encoding SixFeetUnder season one!

Before finding out about ffmpegX, I used 'ye olde' command line commands with mencoder, and never had a DivX out of sync by more than a fraction of a second. Being a Linux user I still favour the command-line tools over the ffmpegX gui on the Mac..

I put togther a short shell script that takes some of the guesswork out of what parameters to us etc.. that works on my Mac just as well as it does on a Linux box..

Try reducing the framesize down from 720x576 to something like 512x384, as well...
