  1. This quastion is intresting me,
    If we can do rip to DVD why it`good to capture from it?
    Although in rip there is no fram losses and it`s copy the content in better quality. Am i right?

  2. Where are you being told it's better to capture a DVD, rather than rip for better quality? I know in no instance where this is true.

  3. Yeah. Back when I had no DVD burner, I'd do that. Capture from my DVD player into my tuner and convert to (s)vcd. That was pretty lame and drew much ridicule from my friends here at vcdhelp!

    Good question. I don't know why anyone would want to capture from a DVD. But if your souce is video tape or a TV signal then it's kind of hard to rip- so capture is the next best choice.

    When the files are too corrupt to rip, but somewhat play fine (as DVD players are more lenient on errors) then that's the one time I know of.
