I am going to be on a plane soon for 5 hours. I wish to watch some movies onthe flight.
Which way do you think would use less battery power?.........
Watching them from the Hard Drive or from the Disc itself?![]()

On every plane I've been on recently (European and American airlines), they have specifically told passengers that they may not use CD drives on the plane. I have asked and been told that using a laptop isn't a problem as long as you are not using the CD drive. Using a CD Walkman is also a big no-no. During one flight I was on (London - Orlando American Airlines), an announcement was made that cockpit equipment had detected that a CD drive was being used on the plane and requested whoever was using it to switch it off.
Looks like it's got to be hard drive.
