Firstly, sorry if I am in the wrong forum (but I'm sure someone will tell me off if I am)
After getting my DVD writer (hooray! No more VCD's for me!) I used DVD shrink, IMGtool & DVDDycrypter. This has worked well (learnt my lesson with cheap media though).
So moved up to the next level, I now want to add a basic menu.
Got hold of a copy of Spruce up and I came across a loading problem when I tried to import a film. It wont accept Vob's or non complient Mpegs.
Because I want to add a menu it seems that none of these tools are any use and so I have had to rip the vobs using smartripper (old habits die hard) to re encode using TMPGenc using its DVD setting so that Spruce up will recognise it.
So, here comes the question:
If Vobs are Mpeg2 why cant I load them into spruce up instead of having to re encode them?
And the follow up question: Is there an easier way?![]()
Oh and my apologies again if this is the wrong place fo my post.
Thank you.

You can still use Decryptor, but you need to STREAM the video and audio seperately for SPRUCEUP to recognise the files.
You will end up with two files, M2V and AC3. Make sure they are named exactly the same (except for the extensions) and import your M2V as an asset, it will automatically find your AC3 file, and away you go.

Thanks
I'm new to Dycrypter, can you point me in the direction of a guide?Yeah Baby! -
OK new problem now.
I've got my chapter entry points using chapter xtractor.
When I try to put these times into Spruce up I cant add a flag to the correct place.
Some Help Please...Yeah Baby! -
does anyone know how I can exactly match the chapter points that are in the IFO file using Spruce?
I can get it within a few milliseconds but not exact.
