DVD Shrink

After using DVD decryp then using dvdshrink I cant play the created files using Windvd4. The files play ok after using DVD Decryp. Anyone help please

Why are you using DVD Decrypt and then Shrink when Shrink alone will do the complete job of ripping and creating the files you need from your original DVD.

I do 99% of my backups directly on DVD Shrink.

DVD Shrink will not work for POTC, as well as other Disney movies. I play it safe and use the same method as Roy47.

I have backed up all my Disney films and both MIB's using DVDShrink and Nero, no problems at all.

The odd things is, I purchased Finding Nemo on region 1 and it wouldn't play in my set-top box (multiregion, no encoder installed) however, when I ripped it with DVDShrink, the burnt copy worked fine.

That's funny, I ran POTC directly through Shrink and got a perfect copy of the main movie - not extras!! In fact there is not Disney movie I have not been able to backup woth DVDShrink

Hi all.

Roy47, are you using WinDVD "DVD from folder..."?
If yes, the "shrunk" files need to be in a folder named "VIDEO_TS".
If no, what "mode" are you using to play the files, and do you get an error message?

I never had any problems backing-up DVDs with DVD Shrink, whether Disney's or others.
I also never had the need to use DVD Decrypter (except to write my guide).
