I have 2 soundcards in my system. One is a cheap SB that I use for games and general sound. Another is a fairly high end MAUDIO Audiophile 2496 (24 bit 96 khz audio card). I have an ATI TV-Wonder capture card. I have always used and internal connection between the capture card and the SB card but I am noticing that I am having some very very slight (but irregular) audio sync problems. So I wanted to try using the higher quality card. So I thought I would disconnect the internal connection and use an external connetion (TV Wonder Audio Out into the Audiophil 2496 Audio IN). When I do this how do I select this audio card for VirtualDub to use during captures. In the Control Panel I select Sounds and Audio Devices and select that soundcard for the default Sound Playback and Sound Recording but it seems to have little effect. The capture has the sound on it, but the Maudio mixer seems to have no effect on the level (it is very low) and even if I go back to the Control Panel and select the SB, the low audio is still there. So I am not clear on what sets the soundcard that VirtualDub will use to record from. Thanks.
