Its obvious that you have done no type of search because if you did you would have come up with an answer very quickly. Buy anyway, all you need is a dvd-rom and DVDDecrypter. Next time try to do a search before you post such a basic question. At least then you will have shown that you pur forth a little effort to find the answere your self.

  7. Not sure exactly what you want. Because first you said you want to copied DVD to HD and then you went on to say about converting to mpeg, etc? Anyway, copying DVD movie to HD is easy as 123. All you do is get a ripping software, for example dvdshrink. You can look for guide in how to use it but it is simple. With that, shrink will ask where you want to rip the DVD movie into your computer. Once done, you will see those file on the folder that you specified. And to watch it, all you do is open with DVD player like PowerDVD and look for the dvd file instead of your DVDrom drive. Confuse so far? I hope not!! Anyway, so guy mention to use DVD decrypter.....not a good idea because it only rip into ISO image whereas DVDshrink rip into vob files. So there is no need to convert the movie into another format if your not intend to in the first place.

Actually, there are other settings that will actually burn the files from the dvd to your hard drive.

OK, from what I have figured out is that the original poster is not wanting to learn how to do a conversion, but rather just wants it all handed over. Based on that information, the 2 easiest examples I can give are:

    1. eazyvcd
    2. dvd2svcd

Since the original poster probably wont download the appropriate guides, here are the steps:

    1. download eazyvcd, load the dvd into the dvdrom. change the settings to vcd. click go, burn, whatever. Burn resulting file with nero

2 download dvd2svcd, click through each of the tabs till you find the one with load template. Open and load the VCD or SVCD template, depending on your preference. click each of the tabs until you get to encoder, open the path up to your purchased copy (vcd is free however svcd requires purchase). click through all of the tabs until you find one that has a thing that looks like a dvd and click it and then click ok. when the process is complete, open nero, click file, burn image and locate the bin/que file from the default location and burn.

both solutions require an encoder (and a cd burner with burning software) such as TMPGENC or CCE.

Now, if you vcd or svcd does not play on your dvd player, look on the left under dvd players and confirm that your player can play those formats (dont look at the box the player came in). If you have issues, the search function and guides WILL cover EVERY possible question you have.

  9. lemme see if i got this right...i need eazyvcd to copy A DVD movie to my hard drive? and i need dvd2vcd to convert the dvd i copied to my computer. so then the dvd i copied to my hard drive will come out as a vcd file after i run it thru the dvd2vcd..right"?
    then burn as a vcd.

  10. by the sounds of it..i only need EAZYVCD?????
because it copys a dvd from my dvd rom to my hard drive.
then i look for a bin/cue file??? and burn it to cd-r? and my vcd is made that easily? does this sound correct? or am i way off?

  11. sorry dont mean to post a crap load of times..im just trying to figure this out.
after i copy/rip a dvd to my hard drive using eazyvcd and its a bin/cue files...what would i use to view the bin cue files to check my rip? to make sure it worked and everythings fine? before i burn it to vcd.

  12. before we even go further, what exactly is that you want? Do you want to rip the DVD movie into your hard drive as-is or 2) Do you want to rip the movie in VCD format?

  13. well thats what im trying ta figure out..whats easiest?
i want to rip the movie to my PC.
i want to be able to view the movie on my pc (breiefly) to make sure i did it correct.
and yes then i want to make a VCD.
ive explained this a few times now LOL and got no straight answer really.
if its easier/quicker rippin a dvd to vcd format to my PC then burn it as VCD..then i want to do that..either way I WANT TO RIP A DVD MOVIE TO MY PC THEN EVENTUALLY BURN IT AS A VCD SO I CAN WATCH IT IN A DVD PLAYER/TV.
i dont know if i rip it to my hard drive, then convert it to vcd then burn it.
i didnt know i could rip it and convert as vcd to my harddrive all at once.

AGAIN..........I WANT TO PUT A DVD MOVIE IN MY DVDROM...COPY IT TO MY COMPUTER..THEN I WANT TO MAKE A VCD..THEN BURN IT SO ITS WATCHABLE ON A STANDALONE DVD PLAYER.

i see theres alot of programs to use...but i can choose what ones easiest.
i dont know if after i rip the dvd movie to my PC if i gotta convert it to vcd then burn it..etc...

sum simples answers step by step would be highly appreciated.

but the dvd movie i am ripping..i want to make a VCD with it.

I guess you have never ripped a dvd in File Mode using DVDDecrypter.

I have never used Eazyvcd but I did read the guide, here. Read step 4.

Eazyvcd can be set to create:

    a.) Cue/bin disk image files
If you want to view the contents of a cue/bin you can use isobuster to extract the mpeg or daemon tools to mount it as a virtual disk drive which can be played. Burn the image when you're ready.

    b.) VCD-ready mpeg files.
If you create an mpeg it can be played directly and then later dropped into nero or VCDEasy for authoring and burning to disk as a VCD.

    Your choice.

  19. ok so i just pop a dvd movie in dvd rom..open eazyvcd..rip the movie to harddrive..and choose output type - bin cue image..click rip..then the dvd will be on my harddrive and it will already be a vcd..so then i just burn it?
    that easy eh.
