I have P4 1400mhz with 256MB RDRAM-400MHZ and HD 90 GB 7200RPM.
I bought the ADVC 100 and i havn`t got it yet.
is my computer is strong enough to capture video from DVD and VHS in good quality without dropping frames?

my machine has the same specs as yours, and it works like a charm. i get a few dropped frames. but it should work good for you.

You might see a slight gain with 512MB, but if you are not having problems, I would stick with what you got for a while. If you have the money to spend, go ahead. However increasing CPU speed will always give you the biggest speed gain.
