  1. i got a copy of a movie in bin format, but it didn't come with the cue files. i tried mounting the image to a virtual drive and copying it and i also tried to burn the bin file in raw mode in nero. although the files show up, it doesn't work on my pc or dvd player. is ther anyway to burn a bin (scvd) without a cue or to make a cue file for it.

just extract the mpg file out and burn an svcd using that mpg file.

use cdmage to extract the mpg file from the bin image.

  3. not all burning progs require the cue file to burn the bin. try burning the bin in nero (or other) on a rw first to see. you do not have to burn it completely. if nero accepts the image and starts to burn you can abort.

The 2 replys you have so far will work 100%, but your original solution will work also but you just went about it the wrong way.

Load the bin file using using DaemonTools, then if you have it startup CDrwin, choose the 3rd option along from the left on the top, use the drop down browser and point it to the Virtual Drive it should now load it and it should show up the CDRwin window, all you have to do now is give it a name and where to save it to, once done you will now have a new Bin and Cue file, you can now burn your new cue/bin using CDRwin.

    Hope that helps as well

  5. Easy peeze. Mount the image with daemon tools, then do a CD>CD copy with any burning program you wish and choose the d-tools drive as the source.

  6. good replies, guys, but you really don't need to mount anything. jr_bilodeau did use the wrong method in that he chose to burn in raw mode. instead he should have just selected FILE, then Burn Image in Nero.

  7. nero is a pain for this. it will ask you what block size the image is, and without a cue there is not easy way to know.
    (mode 1 2048 vs mode 2 2352)

Ive had bin files that have been in each format at different times.

the daemon tools method is guarenteed, and is free.

A pay solution is to burn it with diskjuggler. It is smart enough to autodetect the format.
