Hi,
I created a DVD from a home video using Pinnacle Studio 8. I have since erased all the dv avi capture files that was used to compose this DVD. Now I want to add some more video (since the one I created was only for an hour and was missing some events). These events should be in sequential order such that I have to bring in the DVD into a format that I can use in Pinnacle. I think Studio 8 can take an avi file.
What software do I have to use for this kind of conversion to be compatible (used as input) with Studio 8.
Thank you.

Gee, If you're running a Windows machine I believe you can make a useable file (avi etc.) with Microsoft movie maker 2 which is a free download. I had captured some footage into mpeg-dvd and my wife wanted it sent to her at work so I used mm2 and made a new tiny file with it to send as an E-mail attachment. It actually was very easy to use for that conversion. Good Luck

I guess I'm confused as to what your asking. If your asking which software will pull the mpg's from the DVD (vobs) you've already created so you can re-author the new DVD.
The answer would be: TMPGEnc DVD Author can pull MPG's from previously authored DVD's. These MPGS should be able to go back into Studio being that Studio created them.
Or maybe I just don't understand what your asking.....Hope this helps.
