I have a question about "TMPGEnc". T VCD's that I've made so far using "TMPGEnc" have played pretty well. The question I have is, why is it that my VCD, will play in some DVD Players, and not others? on the "Stream Type" I have been using "Video-Cd (Non Standard). Should I use "Mpeg-1 System (Automatic)? I would like it, so that the VCD's I am making, will play in anny DVD Player I put it in. Can someone please tell me, what I may be doing wrong? Any help, would be appreciated...

If you use the "Video-CD (Non Standard)" as your stream type you are effectively making an XVCD or non-standard VCD (as the stream type suggests) - these are being accepted by a small proportion of DVD players and, luckily, yours is one of them. I don't know whether you've just by chance chosen that stream type or maybe you read it in a guide (some people use XVCD to be able to put more than 80 min onto 1 CD or to simply have a different resolution or bitrate to standard resolution or bitrate). If you want your VCD to play on all VCD compatible DVD players you have to choose "Mpeg-1 Video-CD" stream type.
Regards.
