  1. Recently purchased an Avermedia DVD ezmaker USB2.0 which came with neoDVD. I captured some video footage off my camera using DVD quality settings...I then went through the process of creating a DVD-Video with a titles etc. I then burned the 8 min DVD-Video to a CD-R using the "copy" function in neo DVD. It showed that it was successful.

Here is the question...I can watch the DVD (on CD) off my PC but when I try it in my Apex or Samsung player it does not work. In the Samsung it hangs on loading and on the Apex I get "Invalid Entry"...

Any ideas as I have had no probs before with these players playing any burnt videos (mostly vcd's, svcd's)?

  2. First make sure you have selected the disc format of DVD-Video (in the "create page lower right corner), then select the quality level you want (best, better, or good).

When you select "make a disc" you must then select from the pull down menu the following.
    Disc Format + DVD-Video
Viewable In = US (NTSC) assuming you're in the states.

I always write to my hard drive from Neo then use RecordNow Max to do the actual burn. All the files Neo generates must be in a VIDEO_TS folder then you burn that folder. Also the disc must be finalized or closed after the burn. I believe if you write directly to disc NeoDVD will put all the files into a VIDEO_TS folder for you.

NeoDVD is a simple program that works very well and fast for what it does. Good luck.

    Hi,

The DVD video you created on a cdr is called miniDVD, which most of the DVD players will not play. Please see the "Glossary" section under "miniDVD" for further information.

  4. Thanks cchang...I was unaware...always thought miniDVD was on like a mini disc (ie. Sony...)...you are correct...checked the list and my DVD players do not recognize that format....

Why aren't you choosing VCD in Neo? You said these work.
