I have been trying to encode with pal to no avail, I have finally read my DVD Manual Panasonic RV31. It says will not play Pal discs, imagine that. Well now I need to use NTSC.. I have read the help files but, I am still confused on ratio, frame rate , field order, non interlace, interlace. The more I read it the more I get confused. Maybe I need a reading tutor. What would be great is if someone had the same player and would take me through it. I have spent many hours and would love to get it right the next time. Thanks for your input.

  2. well, ive tried it TONS of time, changing from PAL to NTSC, and the results arent all that good, anyway, heres what i did, i dont know if its necessarily the best way, but heres what i did. Open your File in TMPGEnc, and if you are using MPEG-2 NTSC, change the resolution to 480x480, and the framerate to 23.97, if you are using VCD, change the resolution to 352x240 and the framerate to 23.97. quite simple.
