  1. ok i am new at this as you might see, but i went to Marti's VCD Menu chapter guide and it is extremly helpful, in order to have different pictures go to differnet parts of the movie when i am authoring it do i need the movie to be split in the fashion that i want the menu to be in? what i mean is, if i want to have 5 or 6 different chapters that i can jump to, do i have to split the vcd into those 5 or 6 differnt files before i burn it? and if so what program do i use? tmpgenc?

    thanx for any help

  2. To create "chapters", in the sense that they play through seamlessly, you don't cut the mpeg. You have one long track and use "entrypoints". Search for this in the forums and you will find more info on how to do it.

You will need a VCD authoring program capable of creating entrypoints to author such a VCD -- e.g., VCDImager, VCD Toolkit or Videopack 4.

If you cut the mpeg, you are creating additional "tracks" and it is extremely unlikely that they will play through completely seamlessly (there will at least be a slight pause or blip).

  3. you create those entry points in the chapters page in Tscv. you probably already did it if you followed marty's guide and used the menu generator to get the pics.
