Hello, As the title says I am having some play back problems on my stand alone DVD player. They are MPEG-2 files that I downloaded of the net. They play back perfect on the computer, they even look look on the finished DVD if I play it back on the computer. But crappy on the stand alone. So what do I need to do to fix this? They are SVCD files and I am using DVD workshop to make the DVD.

    Thanks!

You may have encoded them with the wrong field order first. Try rencoding them with the oposite field order first. For example, if you encoded them with lower field first, then try upper field first.

You'll have to play them back on the TV to see the difference.

When you used DVDWorkshop to make the DVD, you can bet that it rencoded your SVCD files.

You'll have to go into the DVD Template settings of DVDWorkshop to change the field order. Don't aske me how, It's been over a year since I've used DVDWorkshop. You may want to check the help files.
