  1. I have joined the throng and bought myself a DVD Burner at last - Pioneer 106a - and am now looking at my collection of (x)VCDs.

I have searched through the guides and the main one using TMPGEnc DVD says that burning a (x)VCD file may not work.

Can anyone put me in the right direction of how to burn (x)VCDs onto DVD, without having to re-convert.

    Thanks.

Yes, but it may not play in any particular standalone.

For VCD on DVD to be DVD compliant, the audio must be upsampled to 48Khz, the framerate must be 25fps (PAL) or 29.97fps (NTSC). 23.97fps is not supported. The res must be correct for VCD (352*288/240 PAL/NTSC) and the video must not exceed 1850Kbps data rate.

    Hope this helps.
