  1. I have used my Phillips DVDR75 to put home movies onto DVD. I would like to make copies to send to family members but when I use the Sony DRU 500A in my PC to try to do this I always get errors. I have tried Nero 6, Instant Copy & DVD-Decrypter without success. The same problem applies to DVDs from a friend's Phillips DVDR880 but I have had no trouble copying DVDs from sources other than Phillips. Phillips say it can't be done. Does anyone know different?

It's tough to EDIT Philips created discs....NOT copy. Use DVDDecrypter in ISO READ mode....the go back and use ISO WRITE mode. This will also keep the original Philips menu screen.

I did exact same think. Phillips DVDR75 and Sony DRU 500A. I was making copy from +RW to -R disc. Best and only way way how I was able to do that is Nero's Wizard Copy from DVD to DVD. My version was 5.something. Try Wizard in your Nero

  4. Thanks for the help. I'm now able to copy some of the DVD+RWs and DVD+Rs but in more than half the cases I get an I/O error at 99% of the read process. Any thoughts?

  5. try using dvd2one and rip using (movie only) not whole disk then use nero to burn should work on

if you have more than 1 title use dvdshrink to reauthor and join titles as 1 dvd and then burn with nero works for me on my phillips 890

    hope this helps

    Only two...

    1. Did you finalize or make disc compatible (don't remember exact name) ???

    2. Maybe your discs are not good. Sometimes when quality is bad, end of the disc is not made very well.

  11. If you just use copy function,it will made the quality worse.I use clonedvd to copy then dvdshrink. It works great,no much difference between original and copy.
