  1. Hi

I've just purchased a Pioneer DVR106. When I try and play a DVD or start DVD Player it quits with an error saying that it can't find a valid DVD drive. Is there a fix for this?

    Thanks.

In DVD plater click Open VIDEO_TS folder and choose the folder on your DVD. If that doesn't work, use VLC to view it.

  3. Unfortunately DVD Player bombs out before I even get a chance to access the menu options. Fails immediately because it can't find a DVD player. I need to get DVD Player working if possible so that I can use DVD backup. Presumably VLC doesn't read the keys in the same way.

    Cheers.

According to the site, if you follow those steps it should work.

  8. Or you could just install it internally and save the firewire case for another harddrive or place your internal cdrw or dvd in it. Thats what I did and you don't need to patch anything it will show up and be fully supported. And my 106D was not a Mac version just a Pioneer that can be read by PC but it works with Macs also. They all do.

  11. Can't install internally because I don't have a bay on my old G3/600 eMac. Edited the program as outlined in Typo's link and all works fine. Backed-up my first DVD last night.

Thanks for all your help people.
