  1. My brother has Traffic on DVD and I want to rip it, but half of the movie is in Spanish. And the sub-titles do not show up when I try to encode. Any suggestions?

  2. The easiest way to include hard encoded subtitles on a VCD is to use FlaskMPEG (preferable 0.6 subtitled fixed version which you can download from http://www.doom9.net ).

When you rip your DVD with Flask, make sure to rip the DVD in "File Mode" if you are using SmartRipper. Else, just use DVD Decrypter. Copy over the relevant IFO files.

With Flask, open the IFO file and you will then get a choice of the video stream, audio stream and subtitle stream.

If you use the DVD2AVI method, including subtitles is a painful process... However, it is well described in the guides at doom9's site.

    Regards.

At least TMPGEnc, CCE and LSX accept .avs files.
