  1. OK I totally screwed up when updating the firmware on my Sanyo dvd-7201.
    The machine went TOTALLY dead. No leds, nothing. It's like it is not pluged in.
    So am I totaly screwed? Say it isn't so.....what can I do?
    Help!!!!

    I think the problem is the player will be completely dead.

    Seems as if it must have lost power during the flash upgrade, jocoman, which basically passes a death sentence on your player. Sadly, you will have a trashed EEPROM. Assuming you have a socketted EEPROM rather than a soldered one, you will need to get it re-programmed externally using a proper EPROM programmer - as you have a disc with the firmware file, that should be sufficient.

  5. The Sanyo is a DVD player not a computer - please see my post above yours which explains the reason why his player has conked out.
