  1. is it possabile to make audio music dvds - The same as a standard 80min/700meg music cd. If so, how?
How many min of music can you fit on a DVD?

  2. Yes, but it wont play on regular CD-audio players.

I have made MP3 - DVD albums (holds about 5000 songs), but I can only play them on computer.

  3. what I wish to do is put 3 or 4 music cds onto one dvd disk and play them on my dvd player, which is not mp3, so it needs to be burnt as a music disk, if possabile.

    you could -

    - rip all the songs to .wav files
    - convert all of them to 48khz (dvd standard)
    - make a dvd that has a menu for each album, with submenus for each song
    - make the background music for the submenu the song itself.

I'm sure there's an audio software with batch-conversion abilities that would do the upsampling on the wav files.

  6. Hi,

Have a look to the 3 VideoCD Audio guides at:

    http://www.digital-digest.com/dvd/articles/index.html#vcd

They are focused to make audio compilations, playable in non MP3 compatible DVD's. It could be an easy and cheap solution for you. Good luck!

My DVD player can even play .wav from ISO DVDs.It's not in the specs, I just tried it out and it worked.I'd give it a try.

  8. Housepig has a good idea. I think you could get up to six hours of sound using low video quality

  9. Instead of a submenu, make a slideshow with 1 slide the length of the song. Less space than low quality video. Better picture.
