  1. I would like to use CCE for encoding and have tried to use VPAFI to create a fake 'AVI' to use in CCE. I tried to load an AVS Script to resize (Sullyland Guide), but have no luck with CCE loading the file.

Any suggestions or is there another way to resize the file before going to CCE?

Any suggestions would be very helpful, thanks.

    For example a .d2v file to 480x480 w/CCE

Open the movie.d2v file with TMPGenc, set the size to 480x480, save project. Open movie.tpr file with VFAPI to convert to movie.avi. Load load.avi file into CCE. If you choose to export audio with VFAPI, it saves the whole audio file as a seperate wav file.

You can also frame serve via V-Dub, although I'm not for sure if multipass encoding works. You can use Flask and AVI-SYNTH for multipass encoding. You need the newest versions of each.

You can also get FitCD ( http://members.tripod.de/fitcd/FitCD_v092.zip download, home page http://members.tripod.de/fitcd ) which supports .d2v files and generates avs scripts for you.

Make sure all codec are installed (VFAPI.BAT).

  3. Disturbed1:

What would you recommend using for AUDIO? I just want either 192/224 Bitrate and want it in sync with the video (of course). I have had problems in the past with the Audio off from the video a second or two. Thanks again and I am trying your method right now.

You can try Toolame (in the tools section), and use TMPGenc to interface with it. Options, mpeg, external mp2 encoder in TMPG. I personally use CDEX and it's built mp2 encoder and normalizer. Using DVD2AVI's sample rate converter is really worth the extra time. Even the low setting is better than TMPGenc's. I think you can download CDEX from ZDNET, and/or CNET or maybe a Google search.
To mux, just use BBMPEG, and set the muxrate to 0, that way you'll avoid PTS and DTS over/under flows. I haven't had good results using BB's split file option, I just make 2 or 3 project files with DVD2AVI that way the audio and video are always cut in the same spot without under/over hangs.

Hey Crzylgs15! Wait for the weekend, we'll get it.

disturbed1 - I'm amazed to see someone else using the same "cutting" method I do. I do find it much easier too. If there's any drawbacks I haven't noticed them. I've been advised I might run into problems with each sections end size, but so far everything has been pretty much the same (give or take 5-10MB).
