I have the following problem:
Whenever I highlight or click on any *.ogm Ogle Video File, the Explorer probptly shuts down and restarts. This is very annoying and I wonder if anything can be done to prevent the Explorer from acting so weird.
All other files are no problem, the problem only appears with *.ogm files, but then every single time.
Can anyone help me?![]()

Well, I have seen similar problems, but not exactly like this one. The problem I saw was with XviD files causing the same thing you describe. When I installed a different distribution of XviD (I now use Koepi's), the problem went away, so because most OGM files contain an XviD video stream, I suggest that you try this or try installing ffdshow and configuring it to handle Xvid decoding.
However, since I don't THINK Windows attempts to preview OGM files like it does AVIs, this may not do anything at all, it may in fact be the OGM container itself that Explorer doesn't like, it's just that I have never seen this. I would suggest reinstalling the Ogg directshow filters from here:

If that doesn't do it, I don't know what to tell you. You can try reinstalling DirectX and all that, but I have no idea if that'll help or not.
