I currently use TMPGEnc DVD Author get my various movie files authored. Right now, I am trying to maneuver around one of its limitations. Menu highlights cover the entire image and cannot be changed within the program. I thought there should be a way to edit the subpicture to create a frame around the menu buttons instead of covering them.
I ran across a post stating Subrip would be able to extract the menu overlay (subpicture). I gave it a try and it worked! Now, my plan is to edit the subpicture (a black bitmap with white "holes" over the menu navigation elements) in Paint Shop Pro and author it back into the menu.
My question is: since DVD Author can not import the subpicture, can anyone recommend a program that will replace the overlay in the menu? I'm looking into MenuEdit to see if it offers what I am seeking.
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
