i'm backing up my lock stock & 2 smoking barrels dvd. as many of you know there is a widescreen & a full screen version of the movie on the same disc.
i've managed to strip out the full screen version & keep everything else, while keeping it all under 4.37gb.
now what i would like to do is edit/relink the "play" button on the main menu so that it will play the widescreen version of the movie instead of taking me to the WS/FS selection screen.
i copied the hex for the WS button on the WS/FS selection menu and edited the play button on the main menu to reflect that of the WS button.
i've been able to hex edit the FS button so that it plays the WS version of the movie.
but when i hex edit the "play" button on the main menu it takes me back to the WS/FS selection menu.
thanks for any help anyone can provide.

It may not be that simple.
Normally, if you select a widescreen/fullscreen on the aspect ratio, you usually jump to the PGC Command table of that menu. If you relink the play button as the same as the widescreen, you will have havoc.
Example:
Click on widescreen on aspect ratio button. Button command may navigate to either pre or post commands. Execute necessary GPreg settings and jump.
If you relink the same button command as above to the play button on the Main Menu, it doesn't jump to the aspect ratio menu's PGC Command Table, but to it's own, the main menu's, PGC Command Table.
The PGC Command Table are not the same and execute different jumps and valuable GPreg settings.
