Seems almost every time I try to actually compile a DVD I get the error above. I use Sutdio 8 and though it seems to work OK for most things I have this problem. It seems OK with videos of around 50 minutes however trying to burn about 90 minutes I get this error.
(I select Automatic for video over the usual limit.)
Of course as you all know it happens after about 5 hours of rendering and then quits.
I am very new to this "game" that DVD's seem to have. My home movies really need to be put on DVD for future reference etc.
I run an AMD 1.1Gig, 512 of SDRAM, twin 100gig hdds with a firewire card and use a SONY TRV355E for all my conversions. I just wish the programmes were half as good as the camera.
I realise the computer needs an upgrade but not until I get this problem sorted.
I look forward to hearing from someone about this problem.

All I can tell you is that I tried to use Studio 8 for 6 months and had constant problems similar to yours. And if you search you can find quite a few posts here over the last year from others that have had trouble with it.
My solution was to finally give up and try some other programs. I'm now using TMPGEnc DVD Author almost exclusively. I miss some of the good things about Stuio 8- the ease of putting in transitions and manipulate/edit the video and audio separately, but the fact that I can now compile a DVD on the first try every time makes up for the loss of those options.
I also tried DVDLab- good program but had a few things I didn't like.
Tried WinProducer 3 and it worked about as well as Studio.
