  1. Tmpegenc can not import DV type I data.

    My system configration:
    P4 1.4G, Windows 2000, Ulead MediaStudio Pro 6, TMPGENC 12a, DV camcord

    My process is:
    1. Capture DV, using MSP6 video capture program, OK.
    2. Import the data to MSP6, edit, OK.
    3. Export to .avi file, DV type I format, OK. Can play back using media layer
    4. If the file is less than 1 minute, import to TMPGENC, OK
If the file is little bit larger, can not import to TMPGENC.
when import to TMPGENC, the harddisk run run run for some minutes, then system halt.

If in step 3 above, I save as DV type II .avi file.
Then everything is OK, can be import to TMPGENC, Can encode to mpeg2, can
write to svcd, can play back.

Why, can not DV type I? I save as DV type II, need lots of time. :

  2. Yes it can. You have to have the priority of the Directshow Multimedia File reader higher...(environmental settings>VFAPI plug-in tab)
That's how i can get my files to work.
