How long does it take you to encode a SVCD with TMPG or Flask or a VCD? Please tell me your hardware you use

it takes me about 4:30 hours to encode vcd and 6:00 hrs to encode svcd with TMPGenc

i run on a P3 1.0 Ghz

I run a PII 400mzg and 128 ram I have LSX encoder (FAST)

i suggest u get TMPGenc becuse it gives lots of tools and options and gives great quality video

Speed depends not only on the hardware, at least, if you create a SVCD. 2passVBR encoding takes double as long as CBR encoding. Every use of filters slows the process down as well. Different frameserve methods end with different speed.
I can encode a 1 hour avi to CBR MPEG in 45 minutes with CCE. But if it is a really shitty avi, that I have to resize, reduce noise, sharpen and such stuff and I do a 3-5pass encoding, it can take 24 hours.

Takes me (for example) today, while I was away at work.
Took whole project 5hrs, 51min. Note, I mised the 1st
3min. of it for capturing, but I did tape ALL to S-VHS, also,
this project encludes several commercials for clips I wanted
for another project I had in mind.

MY SETUP:
* Athlon 900mhz w/ PC133 128mb ram
* DC10+ to capture (including commercials +/- 10gigs per hour)
* Virtualdub as Frameserver (3 filters)
* TMPGenc as the encoder (my own mod. Template)
* Nero > SVCD <
*** looks greate on my Apex AD-500 and AD-1500 dvd player ***
