Bo Selecta 2 Rip Failure

got my shiney new copy of bo selecta series2 to day and im tring to back it up, when using smartripper the program crashes and has many broked blockes reported, dvd shrink reports crc's, i have heard that this particular dvd is tough to rip, ive also tried alcohol 120 and am about to try iso buster, the drive is clean and rips other stuff fine, and the dvd is new 2 hours ago and hasnt been played yet? ne suggestions guys and has ne 1 else had a problem with this dvd

as tonyburns mentions, try using DVDDecrypter and I would try using ISO mode also

have you tried playing the DVD yet since you posted?

have you tried DVDFab or CladDVD?

yep tried playing the original dvd and it works fine thank god, i have notived in my browsing travells that some of the groups that release xvid and vcd rips have issued repaks of some off the episodes stating issues with the dvd itself as the problem? i have tried dvd decrypter in iso mode and file mode but still no joy, also tried another pc, how ever is was able to rip the 1st 4 eps with #1 dvd ripper, which is a crap program but its quick after that it just spits out bits and pieces of the eps its already done as if the rest of they are some how tied to the missing 4th vob file whic i only managed to get 37% of
