I've purchased the orange tops from them in the past. I'm not sure if these are the same, but judging by the reviews, they are.

i received 2 spindles of 25 each of the orange-topped mountain scene DVD-R 4x media from them last week and they are Ritek G04. have burned many and have no problems...yet. have heard on other posts that Riteks come in diff grades (A,B,C) but i don't know how to determine what GRADE these are. makes me wonder how they know that, and then how do you find out which is which??

Not too good to be true. Consider it a gift from Heaven. I am now good friends with the clerks in the PC Club by my house. We know each other on a 1st name basis. The 2nd day they were on sale (Orange Tops at $19.99 per 25 pc. spindle), I walked in and bought 5 spindles at 100 bux. That's all the money I had. Then I asked the clerk to do me a favor and put aside another 5 spindles for me because I didn't get paid for about 8 days, and wanted to buy 5 more spindles when I got paid, but I KNEW that the spindles they had there at the time would be sold out. So sure enough, they guy put 5 more spindles aside and told me that if I didn't come on the day I specified, then the next day he would sell the 5 spindles. NO PROBLEM. When I got paid, I hightailed my ass in there and bought the other 5 spindles, and sure enough, other than the 5 spindles he had saved for me, they were completely SOLD OUT, and had nothing but Princo and/or Lead data silver tops. From THAT point, I told him that I would be checking from time to time for orange tops as they were available and I told him to REMEMBER MY NAME! So now, I have 250 orange top Ritek G04's in my closet, and have a hookup to get MORE when they're on sale. These 250 are going to last me QUITE A WHILE, but in due time, I WILL run out of them, and when that time comes, I want to be able to stock up on MORE.

P.S. Just to let you all know, SOME of the PC Clubs will NOT let you buy more than 1 pack for $19.99. They will only let you get the 1st pack for that price, and any subsequent packs you buy, they will charge you $29.99, which is STILL a good price, but since I'm cool with the guy at the store I go to, he told me that for ME, from now on, as long as I buy 4 or 5 packs at a time, he'll sell them to me for $19.99 EACH. That's a deal that you CANNOT BEAT for Ritek G04's!

You seem real excited about knowing the first name of one of the clerks at PC Club. Unfortunately there is not a PC Club in my area.

You have problems

You're assuming these disks will last that long, considering they're in your closet in poor conditions (fluxuating temperature, humidity, etc)

Cheapest shipping is $11 to Michigan. $32 for FedEx Saver. What a shady operation. If they don't want to sell mail order, then don't, but don't inflate the S/H.

I have MANY problems, but buying Riteks is not one of them. The discs most definitely "last that long", plus I used them up long before their lasting capacity was an issue.

The average price for Ritek G04's has dropped about 40% in the last 4 months. So if those last you a long time then by the time you start running out they'll be selling for 50 cents a disk and you'll still be using disks that cost you 80 cents.

The pcclub I go to is in Fresno ... and I work and go to school there ... I live in Hanford ... 40 miles away ... and I've been going the PCCLUB there for a few years ... whether they no my name I'm not sure ... but one of the clerks does say to me .... "got out of class ?? "

And yes ... I do get the orange landscape Riteks there. Becareful ... they are Grade B disks ... before burning look underneath for any smears in the pattern ... it will burn .... BAD.

So far only my daughter has found one. She couldn't figure out why it didn't play [it did play but froze up at a certain spot] ... so I checked it closely and it had a small swirl .... towards the edge.

And then a few weeks later ... I found out the orange Riteks from PCCLUB were ... hit and miss ... so far they've been ... all hits ... except for the one my daughter got.
