  1. I'm pretty new to this, and in the AVI clip I just rendered with Premiere Pro, the audio has a crackling sound throughout the voice track, particularly in the louder parts. I have never used the Audio Mixer window, so I opened it up and tried turning on the Limiter in the Dynamics effect. The resulting rendered AVI had sound much worse than before turning on the limiter.

I then tried just moving the master volume control for Audio 1 track (which is creating the crackling) but the volume slider control in the Audio Mixer Window seems to move back to 0 db after a few seconds.

Sorry for the lame newbie question, but this one has me baffled. I would greatly appreciate any advice.

    Thanks.

I am not accusing you of using a cracked version of premiere. You may have some other issuses with the audio. If you do use a cracked version of premiere pro then you will never get correct audio out of the program.

  3. The Version of Premeire Pro is not cracked, but the academic version I purchased as part of the bundle (with Encore, etc.). I sure hope I can fix it somehow with the audio tools in Premiere Pro, because I have put too many days into the project to go back and re-capture it.

When I play the clip in Premiere Pro, it sounds fine. However, the rendered AVI file has the crackling noise, as does the finished DVD version with Encore.

Thanks for any advice you can offer.

hey i had the same problem once, but it then went away. you may want to just remove the audio file, save the project, re-add the audio and then it may work.

no idea WHY this works, but it did for me when i had the same/similar problem

much love, my brother from another mother. edit with good health
